PARKING
Please do not park in front of the studio door or in
the lot to the north of the studio. Parking is available on the side of the
studio, in the alley to the side/back of the studio and across the street only. Please park parallel if parking in the striped area.
WAITING ROOM
All dancers should remain in the waiting room until
their dance teacher comes to get their class. Dancers should change into the
appropriate dance shoes, use the restroom, etc while waiting for their teacher.
Children under 7 years of age should not be left in the waiting room without
parental guidance. All food and drinks must stay in the waiting room – these
items are not allowed in dance class.
PARENTS & VISITORS
Parents are welcome to remain in the waiting room
during their dancer’s class or leave and return when the class is over. Our
studio insurance stipulates that no one is allowed in the dance studios during
class unless they are enrolled in that class and have a signed liability waiver
on file. Parent Observation Days are scheduled throughout the year to allow
parents and other visitors the opportunity to watch.
TUITION
Tuition is due once a month and is based on an
average of 4 weeks per month. Some months dancers will get 5 lessons, other
months they may only get 3 lessons, but tuition will not be adjusted. Dress
rehearsals, picture week and shows count as lessons. Tuition must be paid
through our automatic payment system in which your monthly tuition will be
automatically drafted from your checking account or credit card. We accept
Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard. Families with more than one
dancer enrolled will receive a $5 break per month on tuition for each dancer
beyond the first enrolled.
RESTROOMS
Please encourage your dancer to use the restroom
before class as doing so during their class time is distracting and takes away
from their learning potential.
BULLETIN BOARD/DRY ERASE BOARD
Be sure to check the bulletin board in the waiting
room for any new announcements or handouts you need to pick up. We also feature
dancer’s birthdays and dancer’s achievements both in and out of studio on our
bulletin boards. All information available in the studio will also be posted on
our website.
DRESS CODE
Please refer to the table entitled “supplies” for
detailed information on the dress code.
Hair should be worn up or back if it long. Ideally,
the hair should be worn in a bun or French braid; a ponytail can flip in the
face, but it is okay for little ones. Wearing the hair up makes it easier for
the student to feel and see the correct alignment of the neck and head if her
hair is fixed properly.
Dancers are not allowed to wear jewelry in class to
avoid distractions and possible accidents.
We do not assume responsibility for lost articles,
so we encourage you to label all of your dancer’s things including apparel,
shoes and bags. We do have a lost and found box should your dancer misplace
anything.
MAKE-UP POLICY
If Republic Schools cancel classes due to inclement
weather, our classes will be canceled as well and a make-up lesson will be
scheduled. If your instructor is absent, a substitute teacher will fill in or a
make-up class will be scheduled. If a dancer misses a class, it is like going
to school, he or she has just missed out. Monthly tuition will not be adjusted
for absences.
